IHCC Edges Ranked Tigers

Rogatto

Marshalltown, Iowa -- Goals by Rodrigo Rogatto and Vincent Grillot and another strong defensive performance allowed Indian Hills to get a big conference road win on Tuesday when the Warriors edged No. 15 Marshalltown, 2-1.

It was the latest in a string of impressive defensive efforts for an Indian Hills team that has given up a total of just six goals in nine matches.

Rogatto started the scoring in the 8th minute when he found the net on the second shot on a free kick.  The unassisted goal was Rogatto's fourth of the season.

With the score still 1-nil ten minutes into the second half the Warriors added an insurance tally when Grillot scored off a pass from Rogatto.  Grillot's fifth goal of the year proved to be the decider when Marshalltown got their lone score with around eight minutes to play.

Vinicius Cadengue gave Indian Hills another outstanding game in goal with five saves.  Cadengue is 4-0-1 this fall.

Tigers goalkeeper Matteo Crescente only had to make one save as the Warriors were limited to six shots, but they made the most of their chances in winning their second straight conference contest.  IHCC is 7-1-1 overall.  They will play at Iowa Lakes on Saturday.  Iowa Lakes already owns a victory against Marshalltown, beating the Tigers, 4-3, last weekend.
