IHCC Shuts Out SCC

SCC Men

Ottumwa -- For the second time this season Indian Hills held Southeastern CC scoreless in a men's soccer matchup.  But this time the Warriors got a victory.  After battling to a 0-0 tie with SCC last month, Indian Hills finally broke through with a first-half goal, then scored twice more in the final period for a 3-0 win at the IHCC field on Thursday.

It was Diogo Adade who scored his first goal as a Warrior, in the 38th minute to start the scoring.  David Medeiros assisted on the Adade score.  Damien Baltide tallied an unassisted goal in the 60th minute to double the IHCC lead, and then Diego Sada picked up his second goal of the season to provide some insurance, assisted by Vincent Grillot.

Alan Roman had four saves in goal for IHCC, now 8-1-2 for the year.  It was Roman's fourth clean sheet.

The Warriors head to Mason City for a match with NIACC on Saturday.
