Another Come-From-Behind Win for Men's Soccer

Parkland

Ottumwa -- Diego Sada's shot that eluded the Parkland goalkeeper near the end of the first overtime period allowed Indian Hills to escape with a 3-2 victory against Parkland at the IHCC field on Tuesday afternoon.

The Warriors (11-2-2) overcame a 2-0 deficit to post the win, the same scenario that played out in the last IHCC contest -- a 3-2 decision against Iowa Central three days earlier in a game in which IHCC also trailed 2-0 in the second half.

The Sada goal was his third of the season and made a winner of an Indian Hills squad that was playing its second home match in a stretch that will see them compete four times at home in an eight-day period.

Parkland punched in two goals in the game's first 15 minutes, and the score stayed 2-0 until the Warriors' David Medeiros knocked home a goal on a rebound of his own penalty kick that was initially stopped by the Parkland keeper.  Less than 90 seconds later Medeiros set up Damien Baltide for his fifth goal to tie the score at 2-all.

Vinicius Cadengue stopped five shots in goal for the Warriors and settled in after permitting the two early scores.

Indian Hills returns to action on Wednesday in a home match against Hawkeye CC.
