Waucoma, Iowa -- In a record-breaking performance, the Indian Hills sports shooting team defeated Northeast Iowa CC on Saturday.  The IHCC squad fired a score of 481, setting a new school standard while beating NICC, 481-455, at the Turkey Valley Trap Range.

Shayla Rotenburger led Indian Hills by shooting a 98, which gained her ladies medalist honors.  Harley Saulmon and Ryan Foster both shot 97s to tie for 2nd place.  Saulmon defeated Foster in a shoot-off to break the tie and earn 2nd place honors.

Rotenburger, Saulmon and Foster all established new personal bests for Indian Hills as did Tristan Bakalar who shot a 96.

"Hopefully we can keep the momentum rolling into our next competition where we will host the Corridor Clay Crushers at the Ottumwa Izaak Walton League," said IHCC coach Jake Stalzer.  That meet will take place on Oct. 14.
