Warriors Take Two from North Central

Ottumwa -- Indian Hills flexed its offensive muscles in a pair of 13-0 wins against North Central Missouri College on Tuesday, the Warriors knocking out 25 hits and getting shutout pitching from Marissa Promes and Olivia Goodale.

Game one saw IHCC score runs in all four innings in which they batted, erupting for eight runs in the 2nd inning. The top two hitters in the order, Taylor Takushi and Shyanne DuBois, did a great job of igniting the offense, each getting three hits and scoring three runs. Both homered and so did Keagan Helson who also doubled twice and scored three times. DuBois and Helson combined for four steals. Promes fired a two-hit shutout with three Ks.

It was Olivia Goodale with the shutout pitching performance in the second game, permitting just one hit with a walk and four strikeouts, to improve to 7-3 on the season. The Warriors piled up a dozen hits and scored 10 runs in the 3rd inning. Takushi, DuBois, Sierra Walton and Lexi Smith had two-hit games and Takushi, Erin Kuba, Walton and Taylor Jones scored two runs apiece. Seven different players had RBIs.
