Garrido Added to Women's Soccer Staff

Ottumwa -- A native of Spain, Ignacio "Nacho" Garrido takes over this fall as the women's soccer assistant under head coach Anthony Longo.  Garrido played college soccer at Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Missouri, and then served as a graduate assistant coach at his alma mater.  He has also been a youth soccer coach with the Quincy United Soccer Club in Illinois as well as Sporting Northeast United Soccer Academy there. 

As a player at Hannibal-LaGrange, Garrido was an all-conference and all-region selection, played on a conference championship team, ranked third in NAIA in assists one season, and was named the college's athlete of the year.  He played for Med City in the National Premier Soccer League in 2017.  Garrido earned a degree in exercise science sports and recreation management at Hannibal-LaGrange.
