Bettendorf, Iowa -- Indian Hills got goals from five different players to start the scoring, and three more Warriors also scored in IHCC's 11-0 dismantling of Scott CC on Wednesday. It was the 9th win without a loss for the Warriors and their second in eight days against Scott. They outscored them, 23-1, in those two matches.
Kiri Chiba got IHCC off to a fast start in the latest matchup with Scott, connecting on a goal just two minutes into the contest, then assisting on the next two scores -- by Miranda Kurtt and Emily Murphy. That was the first of four goals for Murphy, her second consecutive four-goal effort. She has 20 goals for the year, hat-tricks in each of the last four matches and a dozen hat-tricks in an IHCC career that now includes 57 goals.
Julie Gouilliart also aided the Warriors in their 7-0 halftime lead with a goal and two assists. Megan Wick tallied her second goal of the fall to end the first-half scoring. Murphy scored twice in the final period and Yui Okamoto and Avery Woldruff also found the back of the net for the undefeated Warriors. Okamoto picked up a pair of assists to go along with her second-half goal.
Elani Mears needed to make only one save and the IHCC keeper now has five clean sheets for the season. Indian Hills has allowed a total of only seven goals in their nine victories.
The Warriors play host to Hawkeye CC at the IHCC field on Saturday.
