Indian Hills Women to Compete in National T&F Meet

Women 4x4

Ottumwa -- The Indian Hills women's track and field squad will have entries in three different events in this week's National Championship meet at Liberty University in Virginia.  Halley Wilmes will run in the 1000 meters, Kylar Brown jumps in the triple jump and the 4x400 relay team of Melanie Hall, I'Reoina Lightsey, Brown and Jocelynn Crowell will also compete.  The IHCC women have qualified during the program's best indoor season that began in December.

Indian Hills athletes performed well in the Region XI meet last month and the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference released the women's All-Region teams after that meet.  Based on their finishes at the region meet, Kylar Brown was a second-team All-Region selection in the triple jump and honorable mention picks were Brown in the 400 meters, Halley Wilmes in the 1000 meters, Morgan Lawson in the 3000 meters, and the 4x400 relay unit that will run at nationals: Melanie Hall, I'Reiona Lightsey, Brown and Jocelynn Crowell
