Rodrigues, Campos Named All-Region

Ottumwa -- IHCC freshman Mariana Rodrigues and sophomore Cecilia Campos, both outside hitters, were named to the All-Region volleyball team. 

Rodrigues finished her first season of college volleyball second in the nation with her 537 kills, a total that is the 6th-highest for a single season in school history.  Her kills per set number of 4.26 is also second in the NJCAA.  She had double-digit kill numbers in 31 of the Warriors' 34 matches.  The native of Santana de Parnaiba, Brazil, also had 370 digs, second on the team.  Rodrigues had double-figures in both kills and digs 18 times.

Campos, from Natal, Brazil, is tied for 9th in the country with her 441 kills, an average of 3.59 per set.  She had the best hitting percentage on the Warriors at .246.  Campos pounded 10 or more kills in 28 matches.  As a freshman in 2017, she played in 38 matches and recorded 155 kills, a .342 hitting percentage which led the team, and 86 blocks.
