Warriors Go on the Road To Make It 10 in a Row

West Plains, Missouri -- The Indian Hills Warriors had maybe their best offensive attack of the season in knocking off Missouri State-West Plains, 3-1, in action at the Civic Center on Tuesday night.

The Warriors established season-highs in kills with 62 and digs with 68 and had four different players contribute two ace serves in taking care of the Grizzlies to improve their season record to 10-0.

The teams split the first two sets -- the Warriors won 25-16 and the Grizzlies 25-23 -- before IHCC romped to a 25-10 win in the third set and then closed out MS-WP with a 25-20 decision.

Mariana Rodrigues led the Warriors with 18 kills and 22 digs.  Thayna Birimba had 15 kills and hit .538 and Ana Nunes hit .733 with a dozen kills and six blocks.  Amanda Toyota had 16 digs and setter Cassia Lemos had 57 assists, which tied a season-best, and 12 digs.  Lemos is averaging 14.3 assists per set.

Indian Hills goes back on the road Thursday when the Warriors play at Kirkwood CC in Cedar Rapids.
