IHCC Takes Road Win at Jefferson

Hillsboro, Missouri -- Indian Hills bounced back after a tough loss to Iowa Western earlier in the week to knock off Jefferson (Mo.) College on the road Friday.  In winning their 19th match of the year, against only three defeats, the Warriors won the opening set 25-19, Jefferson rebounded to win 25-22, then IHCC took the next two sets, 25-21 and 25-15.

The trio of Mariana Rodrigues, Gabriela Cavalcante and Iva Vranic combined for 37 kills with Rodrigues leading the way with 14.  Cavalcante had a dozen kills, five blocks and two ace serves.  Vranic contributed 11 kills and a team-high six blocks.  Amanda Toyota led with 19 digs and Cassia Lemos provided 52 assists, nine digs and three aces.  

Indian Hills takes on Southeastern Monday night at the Hellyer Center, then goes to Mineral Area (Mo.) on Tuesday.
