HISPANIC HERITAGE CELEBRATION SET FOR OCT. 12

Ottumwa, IA – Indian Hills Community College and the Indian Hills Athletic Department will provide a special celebration for Hispanic Heritage Month throughout the Warriors' men's and women's soccer matches on Wednesday, October 12 at the IHCC Soccer Complex.

As part of Indian Hills' month-long celebration of Hispanic Heritage, the Indian Hills Athletic Department will host a day-long celebration that seeks to recognize the history and accomplishments of Hispanic nations. This year's theme for Hispanic Heritage Month is 'Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation'.

Wednesday's festivities will also include recognition for the Indian Hills Men's and Women's Soccer sophomore class for participating in their final home match of their careers. The men's soccer sophomore celebration will get underway at 12:45 PM with the match set to begin at 1:00 PM. The women's sophomore celebration will begin 30 minutes after the men's match with kickoff to immediately follow.

Wednesday's Hispanic Heritage celebration will include food and beverages for fans in attendance along with a special celebration at halftime of the women's match. Flags of each of the 20 Hispanic nations will be present throughout the day as well.

Admission to both soccer matches is free of charge.


SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

12:45 PM – Men's Soccer Sophomore Day

1:00 PM – Men's Soccer vs. #1 Iowa Western

2:00 – 4:00 PM – Free food and beverages

3:30 PM – Women's Soccer Sophomore Day

3:35 PM – Women's Soccer vs. #8 Iowa Western

4:15 PM – Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
