Longtime supporters of Indian Hills Community College, Indian Hills Foundation, and Indian Hills Athletics, Karen and Dale Person become the fifth and sixth individuals to receive the prestigious Lifetime Contribution Award. The Persons will officially be inducted into the Indian Hills Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, Jan. 22 at halftime of the men's basketball game at the Hellyer Center in Ottumwa.
The owners of Hindman/Person Heating and Cooling in Ottumwa join Kelly Conrad (2017), Jack Blackwell (2016), Dr. Lyle Hellyer (2014), and Bob Traxler (2014) to receive the Lifetime Contribution Award.
The Persons are loyal fans of Warrior athletics and are regularly in attendance at home events. Along with their contributions to Warrior Athletics, the Persons are loyal supporters of the Indian Hills Foundation that helps support students throughout Indian Hills Community College.

"For many years, Dale and Karen Person have been instrumental in the success of Indian Hills Community College. Their support of the College extends well beyond Athletics. Dale has been a long-standing member of the IHCC Development Corporation and Karen has served on the IHCC Foundation Board. Their leadership and service has assisted countless students in pursuit of their life-changing education. The Hall of Fame Lifetime Contribution Award is a testament to their support of Athletics but they have contributed in so many ways. We are proud to have Dale and Karen as members of the IHCC family."
