2024 INDIAN HILLS BASBEALL SCHEDULE
Centerville, IA – Fresh off the program's 18th all-time National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 11 Championship, the Indian Hills Baseball team has announced its schedule for the upcoming spring season. The Warriors open up the 2024 campaign February 16.
Under sixth year head coach Matthew Torrez, the Warriors are coming off the program's second Region title in the last three seasons. Indian Hills posted a record of 34-21 last year while advancing to the NJCA Midwest District Tournament.
For the second consecutive season, the Warriors open up the year with a pair of trips to the USA Baseball Stadium in Millington, TN. First pitch gets underway at 11:00 AM February 16 against John Wood Community College (IL) as part of the two-day, four-game Flag City Classic. The Warriors return to Millington February 24-25 for four more contests as part of the Babe Howard JUCO Classic.
Indian Hills' first true road contest comes against Cowley Community College (KS) for a four-game set March 1-3. The two teams have met in Arkansas City, KS each of the last two seasons, with both sides posting a 4-4 record.
First pitch from historic Pat Daugherty Field in Centerville, IA is slated for March 8-10 as the Warriors host Southwestern Community College and Iowa Lakes Community College for a pair of Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) doubleheaders. The Warriors take on Southwestern twice on Friday and Iowa Lakes twice on Sunday while the two out-of-town foes square off on Saturday.
A busy month of March at Pat Daugherty Field continues March 15-17 with a pair of nonconference doubleheaders. The Warriors will entertain Garden City Community College (KS) on March 15 and St. Cloud Technical & Community College (MN) on March 17. Garden City and St. Cloud will match up on March 16.
The Warriors close out its nine-game homestand in the month of March with an ICCAC matchup against Kirkwood Community College on March 20.
The grueling 33-game ICCAC schedule stretches into April with the Warriors hosting the likes of Des Moines Area Community College, Ellsworth Community College, and Marshalltown Community College before closing out the month with a three-game homestand against Iowa Western Community College April 27-28.
Indian Hills' regular season slate wraps up May 3-4 with a three-game ICCAC series against Southeastern Community College.
The NJCAA Region 11 Tournament has been reformatted for the 2024 season and will now feature a best-of-three series against the top two teams in the ICCAC Division I standings with the top-seed serving as host. Indian Hills, Iowa Western, and Southwestern make up this year's ICCAC DI conference. This year's NJCAA Region 11 Tournament is set for May 9-11.
The NJCAA Midwest District Tournament is set for May 15-18 and will be hosted by the NJCAA Region 24 (IL) champion. The 2024 edition of the JUCO World Series will run from May 25-June 1 at Sam Suplizio Field in Grand Junction, CO.
