BASEBALL BACK IN NATIONAL RANKINGS

Centerville, IA – The Indian Hills Baseball team returned to the national rankings this week after winning six of its last seven contests. The Warriors, who sit at 15-4 overall on the year, entered this week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Baseball Poll in the Others Receiving Votes category.

Indian Hills put together six consecutive wins after making its 2024 debut at Pat Daugherty Field, including five straight last week. The Warriors picked up their second consecutive win over Southwestern Community College before sweeping Iowa Lakes Community College and taking two of three against St. Cloud Technical & Community College.

Over the team's last seven contests, the Warriors have outscored their opponents 77-33. The Warrior offense surged last week with a season-high 18 runs in a win over St. Cloud to go along with a 10-0 shutout of Iowa Lakes.

The Warriors are one of two teams from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) in this week's national rankings as Iowa Western Community College checked in at No. 4. Gulf Coast State College (FL) held on to the No. 1 rank followed by Gaston College (NC), Georgia Highlands College, and Pensacola State College (FL) to round out the top five.
