WARRIORS HOLD STEADY IN NATIONAL RANKINGS

2024 NJCAA DI BASEBALL POLL - WEEK 5

Centerville, IA – Following four consecutive Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) victories last week, the Indian Hills Baseball team held strong in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Baseball rankings. The Warriors remained in the 'Others Receiving Votes' category.

The Warriors posted a 4-0 record last week to hold strong in the national rankings for the second consecutive week. The Warriors earned an impressive 13-7 win over Kirkwood Community College at Pat Daugherty Field on Wednesday before sweeping a three-game series at Southwestern Community College. The Warriors dropped the Spartans 24-0, 21-4, and 18-3 to move to 19-4 overall and 4-0 in league play.

Indian Hills has now won 10 of its last 11 contests. During the 11-game stretch, the Warriors have outscored their opponents 153-47, an average of 9.6 runs per game. Indian Hills currently ranks ninth in the nation with a .355 batting average and 18th in the NJCAA with a .461 on-base percentage.

Gaston College (NC) took over the top spot in the national rankings this week followed by Pensacola State College (FL), Georgia Highlands College, Central Arizona College, and Gulf Coast State College (FL). Fellow ICCAC foe Iowa Western Community College checked in at No. 6 in this week's poll.

The Warriors return home to Pat Daugherty Field Wednesday afternoon for a home conference doubleheader vs. North Iowa Area Community College. First pitch is set for 1:00 PM.
