GLAUDAS EARNS SECOND ICCAC WEEKLY HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Gaspar Glaudas (Sainte Tulle, France/Shattuck St-Mary's) of the Indian Hills Men's Golf team has been tapped as the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Golfer of the Week after taking home medalist honors at the Bethany College Classic.

Glaudas' 7-under 137 at Sand Creek Station Golf Course helped power the Warriors, ranked No. 5 in the national rankings, to its second consecutive team title, winning the 10-team field by 33 strokes. Glaudas became the second consecutive Warrior golfer to take top honors and collects his second ICCAC DI Men's Golfer honor of the year. As a team, the Warriors have claimed seven ICCAC weekly awards this year.

Glaudas fired an opening round 5-under 67 to pull away from the field early followed by a second round 2-under 70. The 67 in the opening round was the lowest of any individual for the week.

The freshman birdied three of the first four holes of the second round and held on down the stretch for his second individual title of his freshman campaign. Glaudas totaled nine birdies over the course of the two rounds, tied for second-most in the round. Glaudas was also one of just six individuals among the 55-player field to record an eagle.

The Warriors will now set their sights on the upcoming National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Central District Championship April 24-25 at Crestview Country Club in Wichita, KS. The event serves as an automatic qualifier event to the national tournament, which is scheduled for May 16-19 in Newton, KS at Sand Creek Station.
