GLAUDAS LANDS ICCAC HONOR FOR THIRD TIME

Ottumwa, IA – For the third time this season, freshman Gaspar Glaudas (Sainte Tulle, France/Shattuck St-Mary's) has been selected as the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Golfer of the Week. Glaudas led the Warriors to a runner-up finish at last week's district championship.

Glaudas, who has now earned ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors twice in the last three weeks, placed fourth overall and was the top golfer from the ICCAC at last week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Golf Championship in Wichita, KS. Glaudas fired a 3-over 219 to tie for fourth overall for the Warriors. Glaudas' performance helped the Warriors place second overall with a 19-over 883, just six strokes off the title.

Glaudas posted an opening round 2-under 70, tied for the second-lowest round among the 62-player field. The freshman tallied 11 birdies over the course of the three rounds, tied for third-most at the event hosted by Crestview Country Club.

On the year, the Warriors have collected eight of the potential 12 ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors.

The Warriors will now prepare for the upcoming NJCAA DI Men's Golf National Tournament at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, KS May 16-19.
