WARRIORS RANKED NO. 1 IN PRESEASON POLL

Ottumwa, IA – The defending National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Golf National Champions have been tapped as the preseason No. 1 team in the nation in the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll.

The Warriors, who captured their seventh national championship in May, received 76 points to top the preseason rankings, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Friday. Second-ranked Odessa College (TX), now under the direction of former Indian Hills Head Coach Brad Stracke, checked in with 65 points followed by Midland College (TX) with 64 points, New Mexico Junior College with 59 points and Hutchinson Community College (KS) with 52 points to round out the top five.

Indian Hills is set to tee off the season on September 10 at the prestigious Folds of Honor Challenge at The Meadows Golf Club in Allendale, MI where the Warriors will take on the top teams from the NCAA DII, NCAA DIII, junior college, and NAIA ranks.

 The Warriors are coming off a historic season that saw the program win its seventh national title while also capturing the individual national champion in Jose Miguel Ramirez (Maturin, Venezuela/Alejandro De Humboldt). Indian Hills also returns first-team All-American Gaspar Glaudas (Sainte Tulle, France/Shattuck St-Mary's) and sophomore Shinju Aoki (Auckland, New Zealand/Rosmini College).
