WARRIORS REGAIN SPOT AT NO. 1

SCOREBOARD NJCAA DI RANKINGS

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Golf team regained the No. 1 spot in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Scoreboard Powered by Clippd rankings. The Warriors have been ranked in the top-two in each of the national polls this year.

Along with the team's overall No. 1 national rank, the Warriors placed six golfers in the top-45, led by the No. 1 ranked player in the nation in Gaspar Glaudas (Sainte Tulle, France/Shattuck St-Mary's) who maintained his spot atop the rankings for the third consecutive poll. Along with Glaudas, Jose Miguel Ramirez (Maturin, Venezuela/Alejandro De Humboldt) climbed into the top-10 with a spot at No. 9 in the nation.

Matias Koropeski (Posadas, Argentina/Instituto Posadas Educa) climbed one spot to No. 31 in the poll followed by Shinju Aoki (Auckland, New Zealand/Rosmini College), who climbed two spots to No. 34.

Freshman Emilio Arellano Lamas (Aguascalientes, Mexico/Instituto Universitario Mexico) and sophomore Jose Carletta (Barquisimeto, Venezuela/Rioclaro) maintained their spots in the national rankings at No. 40 and No. 44, respectively.

In the latest team national rankings, the Warriors jumped previous No. 1 Odessa College (TX) and hold a narrow 22.18 – 22.17 AWP lead in the rankings.

Glaudas, who holds a wide lead in the individual rankings, was recently named to the Ben Hogan Award Watch List, one of just 40 individuals across all levels of collegiate golf to be recognized.

Under head coach Michael Wetrich, the defending national champions are set to make a run to the team's eighth NJCAA title this spring with the second half of the season teeing off on March 11 at the Lindenwood Invitational in St. Charles, MO. The spring campaign features four events before the NJCAA Central District Championship April 29-30 and the NJCAA National Championshi May 14-17 in Hobbs, NM.
