MCHENRY NAMED ICCAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA –Sophomore Don McHenry (Milwaukee, WI/Hawaii-Hilo) made a grand entrance to his Indian Hills Basketball career with an overtime buzzer-beater to open the 2022-23 season. McHenry has been tapped as this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for his efforts.

In his first-career game as a Warrior, McHenry scored a team-high 20 points in an 88-87 win over Dodge City Community College. It was McHenry's 40-foot buzzer beater in overtime that led to the thrilling season-open victory and left a lasting impact on Warrior fans.

Against the Conquistadors, McHenry scored 20 points on 7-13 shooting from the floor. The guard followed up with another strong showing on the opening night of the RV & Power Sport Classic at the Hellyer Center with 15 points in a 79-68 win over Cloud County Community College. McHenry connected on four three-point shots in the win and added four assists.

In a 108-48 victory over Independence Community College on Saturday night, McHenry added a season-high five assists to go along with three rebounds and a steal.

McHenry and the Warriors are back in action Wednesday night as they travel to No. 12 John A. Logan College for a premier National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball matchup. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM and can be seen live on GoHillsTV.
