Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore guard Truth Harris (Mount Vernon, NY/Pensacola) has been named this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week after leading Indian Hills Men's Basketball to a 3-0 week.

Harris served as a key figure in the Warriors' undefeated week which included a monumental victory over No. 1 Northwest Florida State College on Wednesday night. The Warriors also added a pair of victories at the Reed Overhead Doors Classic at the Hellyer Center to move to 9-0 on the year and jump to the No. 1 spot in the national polls.

In the three wins, Harris averaged 12.3 points per game on 55.0 percent shooting from the floor. Harris also shot 5-9 from three-point range and 77.0 percent from the free throw line. The sophomore guard tied a season-high with 17 points on 5-5 shooting and 3-3 from three-point range in a 92-61 win over McCook. Against Northwest Florida, Harris scored all 12 of his points in the second half to help the Warriors pull away.

Harris also added a season-high six rebounds, including three on the offensive glass to go along with five assists in the victory over Northwest Florida. Harris averaged 3.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.0 steal per game on the week.

Harris is currently averaging 10.4 points per game on the year while shooting a team-high 55.0 percent from three-point range. Harris also leads the Warriors in assists and steals through nine games this year.

The Warriors have now earned a pair of ICCAC weekly honors as Harris joins teammate Don McHenry (Milwaukee, WI/Hawaii-Hilo) who earned the honor after the opening week of play.

The Warriors are back in action this weekend at the Thanksgiving Classic in Casper, WY. Indian Hills will take on tournament host Casper College (WY) at 8:00 PM Friday night and Western Wyoming Community College at 4:00 PM on Saturday.
