WARRIORS RANKED FIFTH IN LATEST POLL

2022-23 NJCAA DI MEN'S BASKETBALL POLL  |  WEEK 7

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Basketball team checks in at No. 5 in the first National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball Poll of the new year. The Warriors are off to a 15-1 start on the year.

Indian Hills is No. 5 in the rankings for the second consecutive poll after three straight weeks at No. 1. The Warriors have been ranked in the top five in each of the seven regular season polls this season.

The Warriors are coming off a convincing road victory at Dodge City Community College (KS) on Saturday where head coach Hank Plona's squad topped the then-No. 9 Conquistadors 87-81. Sophomore Truth Harris led the way for the Warriors with a career-high 37 points. The win was the second of the year over Dodge City.

Chipola College (FL) took over the top spot in the rankings with an 18-0 record. The College of Southern Idaho, Odessa College (TX), and Salt Lake Community College (UT) round out the top four.

Indian Hills is currently 5-1 against teams in the national rankings, including a 3-0 mark against current top-10 teams.

The Warriors will add to its resume Tuesday night as Indian Hills will host No. 18 Moberly Area Community College (MO) at the Hellyer Center for a 7:00 PM tip-off.
