WARRIORS RALLY FOR ANOTHER RANKED ROAD WIN

River Grove, IL – For the second straight game, No. 7 Indian Hills Men's Basketball erased a sizable deficit on the road to knock off a top-20 opponent. The Warriors rallied past No. 17 Triton College (IL) for a 98-88 victory on Wednesday night.

The Warriors secured the nonconference road win after trailing by as many as 14 points in the first half. Indian Hills entered Wednesday night's matchup after picking up a road win at then-No. 18 Southeastern Community College on Saturday night where the Warriors were faced with a 12-point deficit. The 14-point rally is the largest of the year for the Warriors as the team now improves to 5-1 overall this season after trailing at halftime.

Indian Hills saw four individuals reach double-figures on the night, led by Don McHenry's (Milwaukee, WI/Hawaii-Hilo) season-high 29 points. McHenry poured in 18 points in the second half and finished the night 12-12 at the free throw line and 3-6 from three-point range. The sophomore guard also grabbed five rebounds in the win.

Sophomore Ryan Myers (Brooklyn, IA/Iona) caught fire in the second half, scoring 17 of his 21 points while going 5-6 from three-point range over the final 20 minutes. Enoch Kalambay (Gatineau, Canada/Orangeville Prep) powered the Warriors in the first half with 13 of his 17 points on the night. Truth Harris (Mount Vernon, NY/Pensacola) added 16 points in the win, his fourth double-digit effort in the team's last five contests.

As a team, the Warriors shot just 2-7 from three-point range in the opening half, but connected on 9-13 from beyond the arc in the second half to pull away from the Trojans. The Warriors dropped 60 points in the second half, the third time this season the team has scored at least in a single half.

Indian Hills used a 51-40 rebounding advantage, led by a game-high 11 from Kalambay who collected his second double-double of the year for the Warriors.

Kalambay proved to be the early spark for the Warriors as the sophomore scored 10 of the team's first 18 points of the game. The sophomore, who scored eight points in each of the team's contests against the Trojans last season, buried two three-point shots early on to keep Indian Hills within striking distance. Despite Kalambay's efforts, the Trojans pulled away and built a 14-point lead, 32-18. Indian Hills managed to pull within six in the closing minutes while an 8-2 run to close out the half kept the Warriors in contention, 44-38 at the break.

McHenry buried a three to open the second half for the Warriors and Indian Hills fought back to a 44-44 tie. A three from Kalambay at the 12:19 mark gave Indian Hills its first lead since a 2-0 advantage to start the game. The solid shooting from McHenry and Myers, who combined for eight three-point shots in the second half, powered the Warriors to an 18-7 run that saw the visitors take a 72-65 lead with under eight to play.

The Warrior offense continued to fire on all cylinders in the closing stretch while the defense was able to keep a comfortable distance that held off the Trojans as Indian Hills moved to 6-0 all-time vs. Triton with the win.

The Warriors return home for the first time in two weeks on January 21 as Highland Community College (IL) ventures to the Hellyer Center for a 7:00 PM tip-off Saturday night. The Cougars are currently 10-6 overall with two games to be played this week.
