MCHENRY DROPS 35 IN WIN OVER HIGHLAND

Ottumwa, IA – No. 7 Indian Hills Men's Basketball used another strong second half to defeat Highland Community College 80-70 at the Hellyer Center on Saturday night. The Warriors are now 19-2 overall on the year and have won four in a row.

Sophomore Don McHenry (Milwaukee, WI/Hawaii-Hilo) produced another dominant scoring performance as the guard tallied a season-high 35 points in the win. Over his last three contests, McHenry is averaging 27.7 points per game while shooting 55.5 percent (10-18) from three-point range and 49.0 percent from the floor.

As a team, the Warriors shot 53.8 from three-point range in the second half of the team's win over Highland. Indian Hills connected on 11 three-point shots overall on the night, the team's 12th game with double-digit three-point shots on the year. Indian Hills is averaging 10.2 three-point shots made per game this year, the seventh best mark in the nation.

Sophomore Enoch Kalambay (Gatineau, Canada/Orangeville Prep) produced his second consecutive double-double and third overall on the year with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Ryan Myers (Brooklyn, NY/Iona) reached double-figures for the third time in four games with 14 points. Myers is averaging 15.0 points per game over his last four outings.

Highland used a strong defensive presence to keep the Warriors at bay throughout the first half as the Cougars built a 26-20 lead. Indian Hills slowly chipped away and eventually regained a lead heading into halftime as McHenry beat the buzzer to lift the Warriors to a 36-32 advantage.

After scoring 12 in the first half, McHenry continued to light up the Hellyer Center as the sophomore helped push the Warriors lead to double-digits, 63-53 with a three-point shot at the 8:00 mark. The Warriors eventually led by as many as 15 in the closing minutes to earn the double-digit victory over the Cougars.

Indian Hills is back in action Wednesday, January 25th as the Warriors return to Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) action at 7:00 PM vs. Marshalltown Community College in the Hellyer Center.
