MCHENRY LANDS THIRD ICCAC HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Don McHenry (Milwaukee, WI/Hawaii-Hilo) erupted for a season-high 35 points to lead No. 7 Indian Hills Men's Basketball to an 80-70 victory at the Hellyer Center over Highland Community College (IL) on Saturday night. McHenry has been named this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week.

McHenry lands his third ICCAC Athlete of the Week honor after posting a pair of dominant performances on the hardwood last week to carry Indian Hills to a 2-0 record. McHenry averaged 32.0 points per game in the two victories for the Warriors while shooting 58.3 percent from three-point range and 56.3 percent from the floor. The guard also averaged 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

In a pivotal road match at No. 17 Triton College (IL), McHenry tallied 29 points while going 12-12 from the free throw line in 26 minutes of action. McHenry added five boards as the Warriors went on to win 98-88 for the team's fifth win over a top-20 team this season.

McHenry followed up with his strongest performance of the year against Highland with his first 30-point effort of the year. The sophomore connected on 11-15 shots, including 4-6 from three-point range to set a new career-high with 35 points.

Over his last three contests, McHenry is averaging 27.7 points per game while shooting 55.5 percent (10-18) from three-point range. On the season, McHenry is averaging a team-high 15.0 points per game.

The Warriors are back in action Wednesday night with a home date vs. Marshalltown Community College. Action gets underway at 7:00 PM from the Hellyer Center.
