GAME NOTES: No. 6 Indian Hills vs. Marshalltown

Indian Hills (19-2) and Marshalltown (9-12, 0-1) meet for the first-time in a two-game regular season series Wednesday night at the Hellyer Center. The Warriors enter the contest having won four games in a row, including two wins over ranked opponents. Indian Hills most recently defeated Highland Community College (IL) on January 21.

The Tigers travel to Ottumwa after snapping a five-game losing streak with a 94-59 win over Central College JV on January 23. The Tigers suffered a narrow ICCAC loss to Southeastern Community College, 58-56 on January 21.

  • Sophomore guard Don McHenry has been tapped as this week's ICCAC DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week, his third honor of the season after scoring a career-high 35 points on Saturday night.
  • Enoch Kalambay collected his third double-double of the year against Highland with a 16 point, 10 rebound performance for the Warriors. Kalambay has led the Warriors in both assists and rebounds in each of the last two games.
  • Indian Hills has connected on double-digit three-point shots in 12 contests this year and is averaging 10.2 three's per game – the seventh-best mark in the NJCAA.
  • The Warriors boast the highest home attendance in the nation with nearly 4,500 fans having attended the team's 13 home games this year. Indian Hills is 11-2 at the Hellyer Center this year.
  • Marshalltown is 2-4 vs. common opponents with Indian Hills this year. The Tigers defeated Missouri State West Plains 70-56 on November 12 and Sauk Valley 74-60 on December 3.

With two wins over the Tigers last year, Indian Hills has now won 21 consecutive matchups vs. Marshalltown. The Warriors own an 89-18 series lead since the two teams first faced off in 1963.

The Warriors will head to Sauk Valley Community College for a 7:00 PM matchup on Monday, January 30. Indian Hills previously defeated the Skyhawks 71-67 at the Hellyer Center on December 2.
