NO. 6 WARRIORS STIFLE CHARGERS AT HOME

Ottumwa, IA – No. 6 Indian Hills Men's Basketball stifled the visiting Carl Sandburg College Chargers on Wednesday night to earn a 92-37 victory at the Hellyer Center. The Warriors move to 24-3 overall on the year and 11-0 all-time vs. the Chargers.

The Warriors allowed just nine second half points to pick up the team's second consecutive win by 31 points or more. The 37 points allowed are the fewest by an Indian Hills team since allowing 31 vs. John Wood College (IL) on November 13, 2010. Two of the team's four lowest opponent's score totals this season have now come in the last two contests after the Warriors defeated Marshalltown 81-50 on Saturday night.

All 12 Warriors that dressed on Wednesday night contributed at least one field goal in the win. RJ Ogom (Chicago, IL/Fort Wayne) came off the bench to provide a dominant performance with his first-career double-double. Ogom poured in 13 points, tied for the second-most this season while contributing a career-high 12 rebounds.

Sophomore Truth Harris (Mount Vernon, NY/Pensacola) led the Warriors with 14 points on 5-8 shooting. Harris collected a career-high eight steals in the win to pace the defense. The eight swipes are the most for an Indian Hills player since Roderick Bobbitt recorded 10 steals on February 8, 2014 against Clinton Community College. Harris' 41 steals on the year lead the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC).

Sophomore Ryan Myers (Brooklyn, NY/Iona) added 13 points for his eighth double-digit scoring effort in the team's last 10 games. The Warriors' leading scorer on the year, Don McHenry (Milwaukee, IA/Hawaii-Hilo) added 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Freshman guard Davontae Hall (Chicago, IL/Hyde Park) put together a solid performance on both ends of the court for the Warriors. Hall poured in eight points to go along with career-highs of eight assists and five steals while adding four rebounds.

As a team, the Warriors forced a season-high 29 turnovers while collecting a season-high 21 steals. The 21 steals are the most since the Warriors grabbed 22 against Clinton in 2014.

Indian Hills held the Chargers to just 26.8 percent shooting on the night, including a 20.8 percent clip from three-point range. Indian Hills lowered its opponent's field goal percentage to 36.3 percent for the year which ranks as the No. 1 defense in the nation. The Warriors have held five opponents under 30 percent shooting this year.

The Warriors hit the road Saturday afternoon for a 3:00 PM matchup at Highland Community College (IL) in Freeport, IL. Indian Hills previously defeated the Cougars 80-70 at the Hellyer Center on January 21.
