OPENING TIP

Indian Hills enters Saturday's contest on a four-game win streak, having won by an average of 32.0 points per game along the way.

  • Saturday's matchup will be the second consecutive year the Warriors host Triton in the regular season finale after the two sides met in a top-10 matchup last year, a game the Warriors won at the Hellyer Center 87-84.
  • Indian Hills is 15-2 at home on the year and have not lost at the Hellyer Center since January 3.
  • Sophomore Enoch Kalambay, this week's ICCAC Athlete of the Week, is averaging 28.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks over his last two games after back-to-back games with 29 and 27 points, respectively.
  • The Warriors rank in the top-10 in the NJCAA in four statistical categories, including second nationally with a 36.6 percent opponents' field goal percentage.
  • The Warriors currently rank second in the nation in total attendance at 6,571 fans this year, trailing only Snow College (UT) by 565.
  • Saturday's game will also be the final home regular season contest for 11 sophomores. The sophomore class will be recognized prior to tip-off.

BATTLE TESTED

Saturday's matchup will be the eighth nationally ranked matchup for the Warriors this year, including its third contest against a top-10 opponents. The Warriors boast one of the strongest schedules in the nation this year.

  • In total, the Warriors have faced 10 teams this year that have appeared in the NJCAA national rankings at one point throughout the year.
  • In the seven previous nationally ranked matchups this year, the Warriors are 6-1.
  • The Warriors are tied for the third-most wins in the nation this year with 26.

LAST TIME OUT

In a nationally ranked matchup on January 17 in River Grove, IL, the then-No. 7 ranked Warriors upended then-No. 17 Triton 98-88.

  • Trailing by six at halftime, the Warriors outscored the Trojans by 16 in the final 20 minutes to pick up the nationally ranked win.
  • Sophomore Don McHenry poured in a game-high 29 points while Ryan Myers added 21. Enoch Kalambay totaled 17 points and 11 rebounds while Truth Harris chipped in 16 points.
  • For just the second time this season, the Warriors shot 50 percent from the floor and from three-point range, including a 55.0 percent (11-20) clip from beyond the arc.
  • Devon Barnes came off the bench to lead four Trojans in double-figures with 20 points.

ALL-TIME SERIES

The Warriors own a 6-0 all-time record vs. the Trojans, including a 3-0 record over the last two seasons. Indian Hills has scored at least 90 points in four of those contests.

Saturday's game will be the fourth consecutive nationally ranked matchup between the two teams and the second top-10 battle after last season's regular season finale between No. 10 Triton and No. 6 Indian Hills.

SCOUTING THE TROJANS

Triton has surged into the top-10 of the national poll with a 21-5 record after winning eight straight contests. The Trojans have not lost a game since falling to the Warriors on January 18.

  • Triton ranks in the top-10 in the nation in six different statistical categories, including the most steals per game in the country at 13.8.
  • The Trojans rank fourth in the NJCAA with 11.2 three-point shots made and fifth nationally with 30.0 three-point attempts per contest.
  • Brandon Muntu, the team's lone returner from last year's final four run at the NJCAA National Tournament, leads the Trojans with 16.2 points per game this year.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Warriors have already clinched the regular season ICCAC title and are set to host the NJCAA Region XI Championship game at the Hellyer Center at 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 4. The Warriors will play the winner of the Southeastern/Marshalltown matchup which will take place in West Burlington, IA on Wednesday, March 1.

The winner of the NJCAA Region XI Championship on March 4 will advance to the NJCAA Midwest District Championship, hosted by the winner of the NJCAA Region 13 (North Dakota/Wyoming) on Saturday, March 11 with a chance to clinch an automatic berth to the upcoming NJCAA National Tournament.
