KALAMBAY NABS THIRD ICCAC HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Enoch Kalambay (Gatineau, Canada/Orangeville Prep) racked up his third Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week honor in the past four weeks after leading No. 5 Indian Hills Basketball to two wins last week.

Kalambay earned his second consecutive weekly honor from the ICCAC as the Warriors have now collected the last seven Athlete of the Week awards and 11 total accolades this year. Kalambay has now earned the award four times throughout his two-year career at Indian Hills.

Kalambay's torrid stretch in the closing weeks has powered the Warriors to five consecutive wins to close out the regular season with a 27-3 record overall. Kalambay's play on the court last week led the Warriors to two wins, including a top-10 win over No. 9 Triton College (IL).

In Wednesday's tilt vs. North Central Missouri College, Kalambay scored 27 points on 11-18 shooting to go along with four rebounds as the Warriors won 94-71. The 20-point effort was the fourth such instance of the year for the sophomore and second-straight.

In the regular season finale against Triton, Kalambay guided the Warriors to the team's third top-10 win of the year. The sophomore led Indian Hills in points (19), rebounds (8), and assists (4).

Over his last three contests, Kalambay is averaging 25.0 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 60.5 percent from the floor.

Kalambay and the Warriors are now set to host the 2023 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball Region XI Championship Saturday night at the Hellyer Center. The Warriors will play the winner of Southeastern Community College and Marshalltown Community College who play on Wednesday, March 1.
