2023-24 INDIAN HILLS MEN'S BASKETBALL ROSTER

Ottumwa, IA – Head coach Josh Sash and the Indian Hills Men's Basketball team has announced its official roster for the 2023-24 season.

"We are very excited about this group," stated Sash. "We have a returning core that understands the standards and expectations for this program. We will rely on their leadership, along with their experience from last year, to help propel this group forward. We've also added experience with six transfers, including three from NCAA Division 1 programs and three with significant junior college experience. The experience, combined with our five true freshman, gives us a really good mix overall."

This year's roster features four returning players from last year's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball team's Final Four run. Sophomores Davontae Hall (Chicago, IL/Hyde Park), Shamir Caruthers (Rochester, NY/Rochester EasT), Trevion LaBeaux (Waterloo, IA/Ames), and David Hermes (Stockholm, Sweden/Central Pointe) bring veteran experience to this year's group.

Sash's squad features incoming sophomore transfers TJ Morris (Queens, NY/Northeastern Oklahoma A&M), Chidiebere Obichere (Queens, NY/Pratt), Braden Sparks (Villa Rica, GA/Mercer), and Chris Mpaka (Kinshasa, Congo/Frank Phillips) that bring a season of college experience to the Hellyer Center.

Freshman Amarion Nimmers (Rock Island, IL/Iowa) joins the Warriors after a redshirt season for head coach Fran McCaffery and the Iowa Hawkeyes while Kheni Briggs (Kannapolis, NC/Charleston Southern) received a redshirt season at Charleston Southern.

Sash's incoming freshman class features a variety of impact players at both the guard and forward positions. Peitok Machar (Sydney, Australia/Greystanes), William Beugre-Kassi (Pontoise, France/Albert Thomas), and Jamal Entezami (Berlin, Germany/Hermann-Ehlers Gymansium) bring height to the front court while Awak Machar (Adelaide, Australia/Christian Brothers College) and Irakli Akhalaia (Tbilisi, Georgia/Tbilisi N151) round out Sash's freshman in the backcourt.

The Warriors are set to open the 2023-24 campaign November 7 in McCook, NE against McCook Community College before making their home debut November 10-11 with the annual Iowa-Missouri Challenge at the Hellyer Center.
