HALL NAMED ICCAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Davontae Hall (Chicago, IL/Hyde Park) has been tapped as the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week after a remarkable performance for the Indian Hills Men's Basketball team last week.

Hall powered the No. 12 nationally ranked Warriors to two key victories at the Hellyer Center last week, including a heroic performance that resulted in a game-winning buzzer beater. Hall becomes the second individual to garner ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors for the Warriors this season.

The sophomore guard, committed to the University of Missouri – Kansas City, led Indian Hills to its signature victory of the season, an 80-75 overtime win over then-No. 3 Vincennes University (IN) on Friday, the opening night of the Reed Overhead Doors Classic. Hall produced a team-high 17 points while grabbing four rebounds to go along with four assists and three steals. The sophomore scored a team-high five points in the overtime period to carry the Warriors to victory.

Hall followed up the following night with a performance for the ages at the Hellyer Center against the College of Southern Idaho. The guard once again led the Warriors in scoring with 15 points, but saved his biggest shot of his career just before the final buzzer. Trailing 68-66 against the Golden Eagles, Hall fired a 25-foot three-point shot that banked off the glass for the game-winning shot as the clock hit zero. Hall's game-winner led the Warriors its third-straight victory, and fifth in the team's last six contests.

On the week, Hall averaged 16.0 points per game while shooting 55.5 percent from the floor and 55.5 percent from three-point range while connecting on all seven free throw attempts. Hall also averaged 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game and played in a 73 of a possible 80 minutes for the Warriors.

Indian Hills returns to action Thursday night at the Hellyer Center with a 7:00 PM date vs. Seward County Community College.
