LABEAUX GOES BACK-TO-BACK, LANDS 4TH ICCAC HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Trevion LaBeaux (Waterloo, IA/Ames) of the No. 13 ranked Indian Hills Men's Basketball squad picked up his fourth Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week honor, and second straight on Tuesday after another stellar performance on the hardwood.

LaBeaux averaged a double-double to lead the Warriors to a pair of nonconference victories last week. Indian Hills scored an 84-73 road win at Kankakee Community College (IL) before returning to the Hellyer Center to drop Carl Sandburg College (IL) 100-52.

The sophomore tallied his eighth double-double of the year, and fifth road double-double at Kankakee on Wednesday night. LaBeaux went 8-14 from the floor and 5-5 from the free throw line to score 21 points, his fifth game of at least 20 points this season. LaBeaux added 14 rebounds, including six offensive boards to go along with two blocks and a steal.

In Saturday's contest against Carl Sandburg, LaBeaux tallied 12 points on 4-7 shooting from the floor and a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe to bump his season average above 70.0 percent. The sophomore collected seven rebounds along with three assists and a block.

On the year, the forward is averaging 14.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game while shooting 51.1 percent from the floor and 72.5 from the free throw line, one of just three individuals in the country to average those numbers.

LaBeaux and the Warriors hit the road Wednesday night for a key matchup against No. 15 nationally ranked Triton College (IL) in River Grove, IL. Catch all the action live on GoHillsTV.
