Ottumwa, IA – For the second consecutive week, sophomore TJ Morris (Queens, NY/Northeastern Oklahoma A&M) has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week. Morris led the Warriors to a pair of wins to close out the regular season last week.

Morris put together another solid performance on the hardwood last week, guiding the Warriors to a win over McCook Community College (NE) before a convincing win over No. 3 nationally ranked Triton College (IL) on Saturday night. The Warriors closed out the regular season with a 25-5 overall record and a No. 10 rank in the final national poll.

Morris continued to fill the stat sheet for the Warriors as the sophomore guard produced 13 points to go along with eight rebounds and tied a season-high with six assists in a 92-59 win over McCook on Monday night.

The sophomore followed up with a season-high 20 points to help the Warriors run past Triton and hand the Trojans just their second loss of the year. Morris added three assists and three rebounds to go along with three steals in the victory.

Morris has now scored in double-figures in eight consecutive games and is averaging 13.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game during the stretch.

Morris and the Warriors are set to host the upcoming National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball Region 11 Championship game Saturday night at the Hellyer Center at 7:00 PM against the winner of Southeastern Community College and Marshalltown Community College.
