MORRIS EARNS THIRD ICCAC WEEKLY HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – With a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball North Central District Championship in hand, sophomore TJ Morris (Queens, NY/Northeastern Oklahoma A&M) has been tapped as this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week.

Morris powered the Warriors to the District championship and an automatic bid to the upcoming NJCAA National Championship in Hutchinson, KS March 24-30. Morris and the Warriors secured the No. 5 overall seed for the program's 19th all-time trip to the Hutchinson Sports Arena.

In a 90-74 win over No. 20 nationally ranked North Dakota State College of Science, the Warriors saw all five starters score in double-figures, led by Morris' game-high 19 points. The sophomore shot 50.0 percent from the floor while going a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line. Morris also filled the stat sheet with four rebounds, three assists, and a steal as the Warriors ran away with the program's 17th all-time District championship.

Morris, who has now collected three ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors, heads into the national tournament averaging 10.6 points per game and has scored in double-figures in 10 consecutive contests for the Warriors.

Indian Hills is set to open play at the national tournament on Tuesday, March 26 at 2:15 PM. The Warriors will take on the winner of No. 12 Lee College (TX) and No. 21 Wallace State Community College (AL) who square off at 9:30 PM Sunday night.
