LABEAUX SELECTED TO NJCAA ALL-STAR GAME

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore All-American Trevion LaBeaux (Waterloo, IA/Ames) of the Indian Hills Men's Basketball team has been selected to participate in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men's Basketball Coaches Association Division I All-Star Game at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

After guiding the Warriors to their second consecutive trip to the Final Four of the NJCAA DI Men's Basketball National Championship, LaBeaux has been selected to the prestigious event set for May 17-19. The three-day event will be highlighted by the All-Star game where the Division I All-Stars will match up against the NJCAA Division II/III All-Star team. Tip-off for the event is set for 4:00 PM on May 18.

LaBeaux is one of just 27 individuals from across the country to be selected to the event, including one of just 13 individuals from NJCAA Division I programs.

LaBeaux produced a breakout season in his final campaign at Indian Hills, collecting first-team NJCAA All-American honors while being named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Player of the Year. The sophomore, who was a part of 58 wins over the last two seasons, averaged 13.3 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while tallying 12 double-doubles on the year.

Additional Warrior alums that competed in the event also include Shane Gatling (2018), Chris McNeal (2017), Nuni Omot (2016), Jordan Washington (2015), Lester Medford (2014), and Jameel McKay (2013). McKay was named the MVP of the All-Star game.
