MEN'S SOCCER CLIMBS TO NO. 9 IN COACHES POLL

2022 United Soccer Coaches Poll - Week 5

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Soccer team soared to No. 9 in the Week 5 rankings of the United Soccer Coaches Poll, announced by the national organization on Tuesday.

The Warriors, who are coming off a pair of impressive performances last week, jumped 11 spots from its previous rank of No. 20 last week. The Warriors were also recognized this week in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Soccer Poll, voted on by the NJCAA DI Men's Soccer committee, with a spot at No. 19 in the latest poll.

The Warriors took the top-ranked team in the nation, Iowa Western Community College to double overtime before the Reivers slipped past Indian Hill 4-3 with less than four minutes to play. Indian Hills followed up with an overtime Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) victory on the road over Iowa Central Community College on Saturday.

The Warriors are currently 9-5-0 overall on the year and 3-2-0 in ICCAC play, tied for second in the league standings. Indian Hills currently boasts the second-most goals in the nation with 61 on the year.

Indian Hills returns home to take on Lewis & Clark College (IL) at 1:00 PM on Thursday afternoon.
