VERDIROSI NAMED ICCAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Daniele Verdirosi (Rome, Italy/Araniti) of the Indian Hills Men's Soccer team has been named this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week.

Veridrosi, the team's top goal scorer on the year, tallied three goals and a pair of assists in a 1-1-0 week for the Warriors last week. Verdirosi posted a pair of goals in a 30 second span against Lewis & Clark Community College (IL) on October 6. The freshman standout added a goal, the game's first in a 2-1 victory over Marshalltown Community College on October 9.

The multi-goal effort against Lewis & Clark was the fourth game with at least two goals for Verdirosi this season. Verdirosi currently ranks third in the nation this season with 36 points while his 15 goals are second most among all scorers in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

Verdirosi, who has been named the ICCAC Athlete of the Week twice this season, has also climbed the Indian Hills Record Book and ranks fourth all-time for most goals in a single season and sixth all-time for points in a single season.

The Warriors are back in action against No. 1 nationally ranked Iowa Western Community College at 1:00 PM at home on Wednesday afternoon.
