NJCAA DI MEN'S SOCCER POLL - WEEK 10

Ottumwa, IA – Following the team's second National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Soccer Region XI Championship, the Indian Hills Men's Soccer team cracked the top-20 in the latest national rankings.

The Warriors climbed to No. 18 in this week's poll, announced by the NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Committee on Monday after defeated then-No. 2 nationally ranked Iowa Western Community College for the region title on Saturday. The championship is just the second in program history, joining the 2017 squad.

Indian Hills knocked off two nationally ranked top-10 teams on its way to the region crown. The Warriors defeated then-No. 10 Iowa Lakes Community College 2-0 in the semifinals before blanking Iowa Western 2-0 in the championship.

The Warriors have appeared in four national rankings this year. The No. 18 ranking is tied for the highest spot this year for head coach Kevin Nuss' program.

With the region title, the Warriors advance to the NJCAA Midwest District Tournament, set to kick-off on November 4. Indian Hills will take on Jefferson College (MO), currently ranked No. 7 in this week's NJCAA poll in the semifinal round. On the other side of the bracket will be No. 16 Illinois Central Community College and Malcolm X College (IL). The winner of each semifinal bout will advance to the District title game for a chance to earn an automatic berth in the NJCAA National Tournament in Melbourne, FL.
