  • The Warriors (3-1-3) enter the match after a 0-0 draw with Iowa Lakes Community College that saw freshman Harvey Sellers stop a penalty kick with zero seconds on the clock. Sellers was named ICCAC Athlete of the Week for his efforts.
  • Indian Hills is currently ranked No. 13 in both the NJCAA and United Soccer Coaches Polls, a spot they've held for each of the last three weeks.
  • Gustavo Marques and Fernando Pirri lead the Warriors with three goals apiece on the year while Daniel Mulero's four assists top the Indian Hills leaderboard.
  • Indian Hills is 3-1-1 on the year when scoring first.

LAST TIME OUT

The Warriors blanked the then-No. 2 nationally ranked Reivers 2-0 to claim the NJCAA Region XI Championship on October 29, 202 in Council Bluffs, IA, just the second title in school history for the Warriors. The win marked the first victory for the Warriors over Iowa Western since the 2018 season.

The 2022 season saw the Warriors post a 1-1-1 record against the Reivers with two of the three matches going to double overtime.

SERIES HISTORY

While the Warriors have defeated the Reivers just five times in program history, Indian Hills owns the most recent victory in the series. Saturday's matchup will be the fifth all-time nationally ranked matchup between the two squads.

    • Gustavo Marques netted a hat trick to lead the Warriors, but a goal in the 105th minute from the Reivers dropped Indian Hills in Council Bluffs.

SCOUTING THE REIVERS

Iowa Western (3-0-1) enters the match Saturday ranked No. 5 in the national polls after winning its last three contests.

  • Iowa Western has played two opponents that appear on the Warriors' schedule – Barton and Iowa Lakes, who the Reivers defeated 4-0 on Sept. 2.
  • Timothy Mason leads the way for the Reivers with a team-high three goals and seven points.
