WARRIORS CLIMB IN NATIONAL RANKINGS

NJCAA DI MEN'S SOCCER POLL - WEEK 4

Ottumwa, IA – A statement win from the Indian Hills Men's Soccer team helped the Warriors climb in the latest national rankings, jumping two spots to No. 11 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Soccer poll.

The Warriors earned a key win on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over then-No. 5 Iowa Western Community College in an Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) showdown. Indian Hills used a second half goal from freshman Aaron Joseph (South Croydon, England/Riddlesdown Collegiate Six Form) before holding off the Reivers down the stretch to secure the win. The win moved Indian Hills to a 4-1-3 overall record on the year.

Indian Hills earned 70 points in this week's ranking to climb up from No. 13. The No. 11 rank is the highest for the Warriors since finished the 2017 season ranked No. 6 in the national polls.

Iowa Western fell to No. 6 in the polls while the only team to beat the Warriors this year, Barton Community College (KS), moved up to No. 7 with a 6-0-2 record.

The Warriors have five remaining matches on their schedule with three of them coming against nationally ranked opponents on the road – No. 17 Lincoln Trail College (IL) on September 30, Iowa Western on October 7, and Lewis & Clark College (IL) on October 11.

The Warriors are set to host Illinois Central Community College at 3:00 PM on September 23.
