FOLSON, ROBINSON SWEEP ICCAC HONORS

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Track & Field squads, fresh off an impressive showing at the 2024 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships, swept the weekly Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week honors.

Sophomores Adalin Robinson (Riverdale, MD/Eleanor Roosevelt) of the women's squad and Traunard Folson (Jacksonville, FL/Andrew Jackson) of the men's program collected their fourth and third weekly accolades, respectively. The duo each set new Indian Hills records while leading the programs to top-three finishes at the national qualifier.

Robinson becomes a five-time ICCAC Athlete of the Week, including an honor during her freshman campaign, after re-writing the Indian Hills record book with a mark of 53.43 in the 400-meter dash. Robinson, who placed second overall at last year's Region championship, knocked nearly three seconds off her 2023 mark to win the 2024 title in the event.

Robinson followed up with a new personal best mark in the women's 200-meter dash, running to a time of 23.63, the second-fastest in school history. Robinson's mark was good enough for a second-place finish in the event as the sophomore has now captured five NJCAA All-Region 11 honors. The 200m dash mark also currently ranks No. 3 in the nation this year.

Folson continued to set the track world ablaze with a pair of dominant performances in the sprint events. Folson took home individual titles in both the 100m and 200m dash events to become a three-time Region champion.

Folson set the 200m Region 11 Championship meet record with a blistering time of 20.29, the second-fastest in school history, to take the top spot on the podium. The sophomore followed up with a school record time of 10.18 in the 100m, tying the Region 11 Championship meet record. Folson currently ranks No. 1 in the nation in the 100m dash and No. 2 nationally in the 200m dash.

The Warriors are set to head to West Monroe, Louisiana for the upcoming NJCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 16-18.
