WARRIORS RUN TO 4TH AT LES DUKE INVITE

Grinnell, IA – The No. 6 ranked Indian Hills Men's Cross Country team placed fourth overall at the 59th annual Les Duke Invitational on Saturday morning. The Warriors were paced in the 8-kilometer event by sophomores Nick O'Connor (Tiffin, IA/Clear Creek Amana) and Isaac Bryant (Grinnell, IA/Grinnell-Newburg).

O'Connor and Bryant crossed the finish line less than a second a part to finish 14th and 15th, respectively. O'Connor was the top Warrior finisher for the second consecutive meet with a time of 26:38.6 while Bryant posted a time of 26:39.4 on the Grinnell College Golf course loop.

The Warriors finished fourth overall as a team with 109 points. Top-finisher Wartburg College tallied 16 points with the top four finishers and six of the top seven. Simpson College and Central College rounded out the top three teams.  

Indian Hills also received impressive finishes from Chris Metz (Freeport, IL/Freeport) and Colten Glosser (Packwood, IA/Pekin) who finished 24th and 25th respectively. Metz posted a time of 27:28.9 and was followed by Glosser's mark of 27:33.7. Brady Millikin (Hedrick, IA/Pekin) rounded out the scoring for the Warriors with a 31st place finish in a time of 28:11.4.

Indian Hills, ranked the sixth-best team amongst all National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Cross Country programs, earned its highest national ranking in program history this week, announced by the  United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Indian Hills heads to the Grand View Invitational on Sept. 25 in Ankeny, IA.
