FORD, MILLER GARNER ACADEMIC HONORS

USTFCCCA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's and Women's Cross Country squads garnered postseason academic recognition on the national level, announced by the United State Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Freshman standouts Brandon Ford (Perth, Australia/Duncraig) and Brooke Miller (Fairfield, IA/Pekin) were named to the USTFCCCA National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic team for their efforts in the classroom. Additionally, the men's cross country team was recognized as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team after posting a 3.48 cumulative team GPA, the 14th best mark in the nation.

Ford exploded onto the scene as a freshman for the Warriors during the fall campaign, shattering school records along the way. Ford, who set three school records for the Warriors, put together the highest individual performance in school history at a national championship as the freshman placed 14th overall in November to earn All-American honors. Along with the USTFCCCA All-Academic recognition, Ford also garnered NJCAA Academic All-Region First-Team honors in January.

Miller, who produced the second-best finish at a national championship in school history for the women's squad in November, was one of just eight individuals from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic team. Miller, who earned first-team All-Region honors on the course in the fall, also earned NJCAA Academic All-Region First-Team honors during the fall term.
