WARRIORS SET FOR NATIONALS

Head coach Jake Stalzer and the Indian Hills Sports Shooting team are set for its second year of competition at the ACUI/SCTP Collegiate Clay Target National Championships in San Antonio, TX. The Warriors are coming off a third-place finish from a year ago at the National Shooting Complex. Indian Hills is coming off its best fall season in program history, and recently opened up its spring competition with a third-place showing at the Simpson Invite March 2-3 in Waukee, IA.

STALZER'S NOTES

"We are excited to be fortunate enough to be traveling down to the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, TX this week for the SCTP/ACUI Collegiate Clay Target Championships," Stalzer stated. "We look to improve upon our third-place finish in Division IV CAA category from 2023. We will be competing in trap, skeet, sporting clays, & super sporting, all 100 targets each.  We will be taking down 10 student-athletes with nine competing in all 4 disciplines, and Emma Bradley focusing on trap for us. Scarlet Meyer will also be making the trip as a trap alternate. The team has been preparing by practicing the past month getting rounds under their belts in all disciplines. We also competed at the Simpson Shootout the first weekend of March and brought home a third-place finish. The team will be full freshman squads with none having the experience from a year ago. I am excited to see the scores we can put up, especially coming off a season high 480 in trap at the Simpson Shootout."
