LIMON NAMED ICCAC WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

Centerville, IA – Sophomore Manuel Limon (Rock Island, IL/Rock Island) scored a major upset to lead No. 9 Indian Hills Men's Wrestling to a convincing 28-18 victory over No. 2 Iowa Western Community College. Limon lands this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week honor.

Competing in his first ICCAC dual of the year, Limon upset No. 10 nationally ranked Paul Ruff of Iowa Western in the 133lb weight class with a second round pin to score six team points for the Warriors. Limon built a 4-1 lead in the second period before securing the pin with less than a minute remaining in the frame. The victory gave Indian Hills a sizable 11-0 lead through the first two bouts.

The win was the 10th of the year for the sophomore.

Limon becomes the fourth different individual to earn ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors for the Warriors, joining teammates Matthew Lewis (Centerville, IA/Centerville), Riley Bettich (Stevensville, MI/Crown Point), and Lucas Henderson (Centerville, IA/Centerville).

Indian Hills is back in action Wednesday night as the Warriors host No. 12 Iowa Central Community College at the Multi-Purpose Building on the Indian Hills Centerville campus. Action gets underway at 6:00 PM.
