HADLEY EARNS USTFCCCA NATIONAL HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Haleigh Hadley (Gilbert, IA/Gilbert) has been named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Athlete of the Week after a standout performance at the Iowa State University Holiday Invitational. Hadley was also named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week.

Hadley broke her own school in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.70 meters to set the new standard for the Indian Hills Women's Track & Field program. Hadley's previous best indoor mark was set at 1.67 meters while her all-time outdoor mark was 1.68 meters.

Hadley was a two-time All-American for the Warriors last year as a freshman, earning postseason honors in both the indoor and outdoor season.

Hadley becomes the fifth female to earn USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week honors and second consecutive for the Warriors, joining freshman Jahzara Hart (Raleigh, NC/Southeast Raleigh) who earned the honor last week.

Hadley joins teammate Rivaldo Marshall who was named this week's USTFCCCA Male Athlete of the Week.
