WARRIOR WOMEN RANKED 12TH IN USTFCCCA POLL

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Women's Track & Field squad checked in at No. 12 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Poll, announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Warriors, who earned 70.47 points in the latest national ranking, are the third-highest ranked team in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC).

Through the first half of the indoor season, the Warriors have been powered by their 60-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter squads. Indian Hills currently boasts the No. 2 60m squad and the No. 2 200m squad while the 400m group ranks seventh nationally.

Freshman Jahzara Hart (Raleigh, NC/Southeast Raleigh) has been the driving force for the Warrior sprinters in the early goings of the season. Hart, who has earned both national and ICCAC honors this year, leads both the 60m and 200m groups for the Warriors. Hart's personal best time of 7.53 in the 60m ranks fourth-best in the nation while the freshman has hit a personal best 24.78 all-conditions mark in the 200m.

Freshman Zaniya King (Ecorse, MI/River Rouge) has produced a strong start to her collegiate career as well, ranking second on the team in both the 60m and 200m. King has posted times of 7.83 and 24.83. King and Hart both rank the top-five in Indian Hills history in the 200m dash.

Freshman Adalin Robinson (Riverdale, MD / Eleanor Roosevelt) and Jadashia Catlin (Palm Coast, FL/Matanzas) are leading the Warriors' 400m group . Robinson has posted the top time for the Warriors with a mark of 59.21 followed by Catlin's 1:00.51 this year.

Indian Hills is back in action at the Iowa State Classic February 3-4 in Ames, IA.
