WARRIORS LAND SIX ALL-REGION PICKS

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Women's Indoor Track & Field squad earned six National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region XI honors following the completion of the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Warriors earned one first-team selection, three second-team honors, and a pair of honorable mention recipients.

Individuals earn All-Region honors based on their finish at the 2023 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships which were held February 17-18 at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA.

Freshman standout Jahzara Hart (Raleigh, NC/Southeast Raleigh) was a part of three of the six All-Region honors, including the lone first-team selection after winning the women's 200-meter dash on Saturday. Hart crossed the finish line with a time of 24.93 to take home top honors, placing ahead of teammate Zaniya King (Ecorse, MI/River Rouge) who earned second-team All-Region honors with a time of 25.06.

Hart was also awarded honorable mention honors after placing third overall in the women's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.60. Hart was just .03 seconds behind the first-place finisher at the regional championship.

Sophomore Haleigh Hadley (Gilbert, IA/Gilbert) earned second-team honors after earning honorable mention status as a freshman last year. Hadley tied her own school record with a mark of 1.70 meters in the high jump to place second overall.

The women's 4x400-meter relay squad, comprised of Adalin Robinson (Riverdale, MD/Eleanor Roosevelt), Shanice Cox (Minneapolis, MN/Minneapolis South), Hart, and Jadashia Catlin (Palm Coast, FL/Matanzas) placed second overall in the event to earn second-team All-Region honors. The quartet crossed the finish line with a time of 4:02.87.

Robinson put together a personal best performance in the women's 400-meter dash to earn honorable mention honors. Robinson placed third overall with a time of 58.50 for the Warriors.

The Warriors will now turn their attention to the upcoming NJCAA National Championship March 3-4 at Washburn University in Topeka, KS.
