JAHZARA HART NAMED ICCAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Jahzara Hart (Raleigh, NC/Southeast Raleigh) of the Indian Hills Women's Track & Field team has been named this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week after an impressive opening to the outdoor season.

Hart lands her second career ICCAC honor after previously earning recognition during the indoor season for the Warriors. In Hart's outdoor debut at the KT Woodman Classic in Wichita, KS, Hart  posted the eighth fastest 200-meter dash time in the nation this year to win the event with a time of 24.34 Hart's time ranks third all-time in Indian Hills school history.

Hart's performance topped the field of 56 competitors, including 16 junior college participants. A National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American during the indoor season, Hart's time currently ranks first among all ICCAC athletes this year.

The Warriors are back in action this weekend at the Kansas Relays in Lawrence, KS.
